A few dream to have the opportunity to have the chance and play as the number 10 of the historic Napoli side who once led the best player in the world, Diego Maradona. Lorenzo's objective is to forfill that dream that all tifosi dream about. The young Napoletan is recognized by many as a small player, but a very technical one. Although for his height, he has great strength to hold off his opponents. He contains dribbling skills, as he loves going one on one with his defenders. He has great vision and posses lots of playmaking skills. Although he's refereed to an attacking midfielder, he can also play as a left winger and as a support striker. Having these attributes, he is compared to the likes of Giovinco, but also Lavezzi because of his pace.

Like any other youth starting off their journeys through the big leagues, Lorenzo began his road playing for an amateur squad called Sant'Arpino in Frattamagiore, 15km from Napoli. Growing up, he transferred to the capital in his province and joined Napoli's Primavera division in 2006. The managers were really impressed with the prospect, noting him a big talent and offered the player a 4 year contract with the current club. When finally reaching the premier youth squad, he scored 15 goals in his debut season. Due to his success and achievements, he signed an extension up until 2011.

Insigne took apart of the famous tournament formally known as Viareggo where many of the best youth play and watched by many big scouts around the world. During the tournament, everyone had keen eye on the kid as he was captain for his squad, playing with the famous number 10 in which Diego Maradona held. It was a number almost impossible to get and to achieve. This meant the club had lots of faith in him which is an important factor to determine how much potential Insigne really has. His performances in the tournament made his name more known to the football word and clubs started following the fellow.

Lorenzo finally achieved his dream playing for the senior side in a pre-season game that ended 0-0 in 2009. On January 26, 2009 his dreams was becoming reality as he step foot on the pitch in replace of German Denis against Livorno. Napoli historically, have never been keen on relying on youth, so it was diffcult for Insigne to get some minutes to gain experience. Examples of Di Natale and Quagliarella being late bloomers in football are prime examples to this issue. Not making any marks to make a name out of himself, they decided to loan him to Serie B side Foggia so he would be able to grow and mature as a professional player.

He did just that when arriving to Foggia led by Zeman before going to Pescara. Zeman put much belief in the player and the results came to success. The statistics don't lie, with his loan at Foggia, he scored 19 goals in 34 games under Zeman in Serie B. In doing so, he was paired up with out hot prospects giving hope for the future of Italy. Having lots of attention of Serie A and Serie B sides, especailly Napoli, however with the new arrival of Vargas hopes for Insgine seem to be slim with going back to Napoli. Currently Napoli gave faith to Zeman and have Insgine loaned out once again to Pescara with other many hot Italian prospects. Just like the year before, Insgine is impressing under Zeman scoring many goals and with the new year, hopefully he will reach that 20 mark. Already making a debut with the U21 Side, he's scored 2 on his first game.

The Pescara Boys

WELCOME ALL NEW COMERS TO SCOUT CALCIO!
This will be an introduction post, to what is expected from the start of this new journey in the field of Italian Football prospects. From statisics, to career, to anaylsis of what potential and skill these players have for the up coming years. Here you will achieve the up most core analysis on today's youth products in Italia. What does the future have in store? Well we begin our journey in Pescara Calcio

Pescara presently are in thrid place in Serie B, with the hope in making it to Serie A next season; at one point with thinking the unachievable by many supporters of the club a few years back who were still in Serie C. The stats are not hiding from this club, already scoring 27 goals in just 12 matches shows how great this club is proving to be. And what makes this more interesting is the youth players they have in disposal, who are showing great promise!

With these players we begin our road with Pescara with Lorenzo Insgine who's already made a name around the nation all over the headlines. He's been one of the most important players this season for the club and one of the reasons for their current sucess. His performances alone convinced Ciro Ferrara to call him up for the U21 national team. Being linked to many legendary names, big clubs, the player can see himself going back to Napoli in January if he sticks with this form at his rate.

His partner in crime in attack is Juventus Product and fellow pizan' Ciro Immobile. Both upfront have been a nightmare for many of their oppositions. Ciro being already 24 years old, has the experienced more than others, but has always showed his potential, especially in his Juventus Primavera days. Now having 8 goals to his name, is leading Serie B with goals and the Prima Punta is enjoying his time there, hoping to get another chance with the Juventus Giants.

Fellow Juventino also on loan is Carlo Pinsoglio, a very promising goalkeeper. Pinsoglio won the Varriego youth trophy and was also named the best keeper in the tournament. Pinsoglio is already the number one keeper for the U21 sqaud and is showing a lot of promise for the future.

The midfiled however is the most intresting part of what Pescara obtain. A young teenager who has been through all the Pescara ranks and divisions. The 19 year old teenager is named Marco Veratti. With such huge technical abilities and playmaking skills, the player has been linked to legends at Gianni Riveria, Andrea Pirlo and Francesco Totti. Big names for such a young talent in Italian football, making him Pescara's more prized possesion of them all.

All these young players have a potentially huge future ahead of them and the good fortune of being mentored by a coach with a track record for producing teams that rewrite history.  Here at Scout Calcio we urge you all to keep an eye not only on the aforementioned players, but also on the team from the Adriatic coast and their Bohemian coach, playing his aggressive style of attacking football whilst hoping to launch a new wave of superstars to the world.
